Kutaisi has several environmental challenges. This NBS intervention project included planning and implementing of low emission electric public transportation along a green urban corridor, serving as a new axis for urban development with carbon-neutral districts. The development of a green urban corridor with low carbon transport will proactively direct urban development in a new direction.
Duke Park in Odesa – Flagman Project in Rainwater Management

Today, the natural infrastructure of the Duke park is damaged by floodwater down the park’s slopes. This project aimed to involve the practical implementation and adaptation of the innovative approach in rainwater management to make a meaningful impact on the environment and society in the cities. The approaches applied in the project were an adaptation of existing ones, e.g., floating treatment wetlands used in different environments and different specifications of plants.
Yerevan Lake: Nature Based and Smart Solutions

This project was expected to have progress in the following key areas: biodiversity, water quality and effective water management, air quality, climate change, clean energy, health, cultural, innovation sphere and development of infrastructure․ The project included large scale engagement of different actors, both stakeholders and beneficiaries, with the expectation to have a multiplier effect on economic sectors.
The Gandja River

The Gandja River project aimed to involve practical and innovative implementation in solutions with the goal of making the city more sustainable. The project wanted to promote new knowledge on innovative nature-based solutions that have not been widely demonstrated in Azerbaijan, targeting the ecosystem and water problems in the area, including demonstration of new practices to allow different sectors and stakeholders to improve current unsustainable practices.
